Edinburgh for the tourist
Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, is one of the most popular tourist
destinations in the United Kingdom. Many of its attractions are famous
throughout the UK and indeed the world, including Edinburgh Castle, the Palace
of Holyrood, the Royal Mile, the Old Town and New Town, and the Edinburgh
Festival and Fringe. UK and overseas visitors come summer and winter to use
Edinburgh's guesthouse accommodation as a base for these and other attractions,
such as the many golf courses of Edinburgh and Scotland, the nearby Rosslyn
Chapel (made famous by Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code) and Edinburgh's many museums,
historic locations, pubs, bars, restaurants and other leisure
facilities.
Edinburgh for other visitors
Edinburgh is also one of the great centres for business, finance, education,
administration and politics in Great Britain. The University is one of the
oldest and most respected in the UK, Edinburgh is the largest financial centre
after London (based around the Exchange district and Edinburgh International
Conference Centre), business and the local economy are booming and the new
Scottish Parliament adds one more reason to visit Edinburgh. Whether you're a
tourist, in Scotland on business, an academic or student or have family at one
of Edinburgh's universities, we can offer ideal guesthouse accommodation to
suit.
